Business notebook: TSTC honors 20 employees for years of service

Texas State Technical College recently recognized 20 employees from its four West Texas campuses for their time with the college.

By years of employment, honorees were:

► 35 years: Lulu Morales, student learning operations manager, Sweetwater

► 25 years: Lorie Dixon, accounting assistant, Brownwood; and Julie Rhoades, web design and development instructor, Brownwood

► 20 years: Carrie Bernal, executive director of solution management, Sweetwater; and Andy Weaver, interim provost of TSTC in West Texas

► 15 years: Terra Alvarado, associate vice president of online learning, Abilene; Griselda Sanchez, transition center administrator, Sweetwater; and Ronnie Pitts, emergency medical services instructor, Abilene

► 10 years: Elizabeth Reyes, graphic designer, Sweetwater; and Tim Rudloff, safety, health and environmental affairs officer, Brownwood

► 5 years: Shelby Bennett, dual enrollment recruiting representative, Sweetwater; Renee Blackshear, computer networking and systems administration instructor, Brownwood; Boyd Cates, construction project manager, Abilene; Annette Collins, veterans program officer, Abilene; Ricky Graham, maintenance worker, Sweetwater; Sarah Guelker, custodian, Sweetwater; Teresa Purcell, occupational safety and environmental compliance instructor, Breckenridge; James Spivey, building maintenance supervisor, Sweetwater; Jonathan Westra, police sergeant, Sweetwater; and Nina York, enrollment coach, Brownwood

The law firm of McMahon Surovik Suttle, P.C., recently announced that Cole F. Watson has joined the firm as an associate attorney, effective Aug. 9. His areas of practice include commercial transactions, estate planning, real property, and technology.

Watson is a graduate of Texas A&M University School of Law, and received an undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin.
