IT'S a brilliant way to keep little hands and minds occupied while out to dinner or in the car on a boring journey.

But Lego also comes in tiny little pieces, which can be a nightmare to find if you drop.

So one mum has come up with a brilliant hack to make a Lego travel kit - the perfect "on the go" activity for kids.

Kyla Rodriguez shared the hack on her Instagram Reels, starting with a Lego 10x10 baseplate, which she stuck to the inside left section of a three ring binder using command strips.

Kyla added in the caption that you could you "probably use heavy duty glue or double stick tape but I wanted the option to take the baseplate off whenever we outgrow this setup".

She then put the Lego in a three ring binder pencil pouch, so that when the folder was opened, the base plate and accompanying Lego were right there - easily accessible and contained.

"When we travel we are always looking for fun ideas for play on the go!" Kyla wrote in the caption.

"We have used this in the car and also have loved it this trip for when little people need to sit and wait at meals/restaurants for food."

The total cost of the hack is around £11 - which includes the £7 lego base plate.

Kyla was quickly praised by fellow parents for the hack in the comments section of the reel, with one writing: "This is amazing thanks for sharing."

"What a great idea !! Love it!" another added.

While someone else commented: "Genius! Totally doing this!"

"For once a legitimately useful hack," another person agreed.

However, others weren't convinced, with one writing: "Legos still aren’t allowed in my car & I have legit reasons."
